Seinfeld on "Kramer" Tirade: "I Am Sick"

Jerry Seinfeld and Michael RichardsThe jerk store called. They ran out of Michael Richards.

Just hours after TMZ exposed "Kramer's" vile and racially-charged diatribe at a Hollywood comedy club, the actor's former "Seinfeld" co-stars are weighing in.

In a statement released by Jerry Seinfeld, the comedian said, "I am sick over this. I'm sure Michael is also sick over this horrible, horrible mistake. It is so extremely offensive. I feel terrible for all the people who have been hurt."

46. Hateful statements like those shouldn't be tolerated from anyone of any race.

It would be fine if Richards insulted the heckler personally and even funny if he made a racial "joke". This went far beyond that with the "fifty years ago" bit and the childish hurling of epithets.

People do make mistakes, and mistakes don't make a person necessarily bad. However, Richards' explosion is nearly impossible to forgive.

I thought Richards was comedically brilliant, but given the ferocity of his statements, I cannot watch anything he appears in again.

47. Bullsh*t. It's the PC thing to do. What, is he going to publicly AGREE with Richards? He probably feels the same way. Those n*ggers can't act with any class in a public place, so they deserve to be called out.

48. I think this guys coil popped, check him in he's reached 5150. And that was sad and funny to watch. BUt really shouldn't be the big f***ing deal everyone is making it into. It's the feminization and gaying up of society with all your PC Bullsh*t. That makes all this sh*t into SUCH A HUGE deal. White man does it ...it's game on 100% of the time. ANY OTHER RACE DOES IT AND IT IS A-OK!

This country and the rest of the PC world have gone completely f***ing nuts period.

I live in Los Angeles and I am brown (not mexican AM-indian) here in LA it is QUITE common to see the words "Brown Pride" prominently displayed across, well anything the Mexican guys can get it to stick to. Car windows hat..tshirts etc.

NO ONE Says sh*t, although I am sure EVERYONE and there brothers dog KNOWS that sh*t is racist.

Because if it was NOT racist for a Mexican to wear a shirt saying "Brown Pride".

It would not be racist for a white man to plaster "White Pride" all over everything...would it? I PROMISE you "IF" a white guy tried to pull that sh*t, he would get arrested, maybe worse..killed.

F*** YOU F*** YOUR DOUBLE STANDARDS F*** YOUR PC BULLSH*T YOUR THE F***ING RACISTS - ACLU - MECHA - AZTLAN - GLAAD - ET AL - WE ALL BLEED RED YOU IGNORANT MOTHERF***ERS

49. The real test will come tonight on the Letterman show which Jerry Seinfeld is appearing and taping mid day today...to see if Mr. Letterman who has in the past fancied himself as a "liberal advocate" has the guts to bring it up with his guest--the creator and star maker of Mr Cosmo Kramer. If Kramer is in fact a bigot I'm sure Mr Jerry would have seen glimpses of it during their long running series. If he chose to ignore it, shame on him , Larry David and the others of the same persuaision that have had a history of insulting the Black Culture for generations of "comedic success"..Step n Fetch It come to mind? Jew inveted, Jew supported....With the Hollywood curtain pulled back, can you now see what Spike Lee has been saying about Hwood all these years?.....Kosmo just got out of charachter and was caught, with I suppose real feelings and is now exposed...Jerry, you owe an explanation, not a sorry ass formal goodbye to Kramer in a way to distance yourself and keep your squeaky clean unfunny self innocent.....he isnt, and either is most of the Hollywood elite. Kramer felt threatened in an act and reacted in a natural self defense manner, which always exposes ones trues feelings. Shameful.

51. I don'tthink Michale is guilty of anything other than losing his cool with a biligerant and probably a trouble maker for the headlines of the wretched press. I'm sure that no one ever had a moment of this nature. Exposing ourselves to the max is good for letting others know that we will not allow to be pushed around. I am sick and tired of hearing about how some ethnic challenged a**hole is terribly shakened to the extent of beig totally stupid. I'm sure they feel the same way when they use the N word at each other. Sorry man it is a free country and last I heard freedom of speech and expression shall not be infringed. So there is a few that feel the word is for racist remark's only. Well to those I say Bullsh*t and get a life. Don't even think for one moment that if given the chance that they would also make the same remarks. People should treat others as they would like to be treated is my motto. If you want to be a idiot than I reserve the right to treat you like one and so forth. You want to be a racist than I reserve the right to treat you as one. As soon as we understand how to accomodate this in our every day lives the better we will understand each other.

Someone PLEASE send this guy a copy of American History X and Romper Stomper.

53. I'm not supporting Richards's words and/or tirade at all since I have no tolerance for prejudice. My question is though: Why is it all right for black rap artists to refer to each other as "niggers" and "niggas," but wrong when a white person says it? Seems to me that rap artists have lowered the white person's perception of the black population by permeating the stereotype and the vulgarity. It's certainly a double standard. Also, Richards's outburst is fairly reminiscent of Andy Kaufman's heckler incident several years back -- all for show and unbeknownst to the audience.

54. Michael Richards is a ignorant and racist loser. There is no place in our society for what he said or his appalling behavior. Mr. Richards showed his "true colors", regardless or his "amends". I will never support any venture that he is associated with in the future. If it were not for his "Seinfeld" residual checks he'd be hanging wallpaper somewhere for minimum wage. (And) If Jerry Seinfeld thinks he can downplay what his friend said, then Jerry's not as smart as I thought he was.

Finally, someone with a sense of humour!

56. #35 HATED BY WHO? I dont hate him for that, hate is a strong word.

So he said a few things he shouldnt have said, but evryone does that here and there, maybe he thought if blacks make fun of whites, why cant I make fun of blacks?

It seems your ignorant ass is having a hard time spelling. Good luck with that and your racism

58. Hehe...Kramer goes crazy. His tirade makes Mel Gibson look like an altar boy! And heckled off the stage - how freaking embarassing...

Giddy Up!

59. The sad fact of the matter is that regardless of how he got heckled and taunted (something very common at comedy venues) he can't justify his obvious meltdown and racist comments. Is he a racist? Who knows, but he's definitely an ignorant man and not worthy of support from the black communtiy or anyone else who takes a stand against such idiocy and obvious hatred. But like everything else in Hollywood, it'll be soon forgotten and to be perfectly honest not many will really give a sh*t. Its not like us blacks can really make or break his career with some sort of boycott or something, but he's definitely added to my personal list of "Please die you soon, idiot" dumbasses.

60. Like these comic's don't demean others most horribly everyday.. and likewise the race that was being slandered, gives it back just as good to whom they dislike. Let's grow up! Michael isn't going to be the pariah and only instigatior of this scene like Gibson.. or they all fall down. Pot kettle black.
